The Cristalino Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN) is covered by primary and lush rainforests and provides a variety of natural habitats. The Cristalino forest reserve is the oldest RPPN in the north of the state of Mato Grosso and was established in 1997 by the Cristalino Lodge. An RPPN is a private area set aside in perpetuity for the purpose of conserving Brazil's biological diversity. Setting up an RPPN is a voluntary act on the part of the owner of the property and the main beneficiaries are the natural environment of the area and future generations.

The lodge runs a management program for the reserve that includes the following:

- Conservation of the natural resources and biodiversity
- Environmental education
- Responsible tourism, with small groups using carefully maintained trails
- Support for research projects, through the Cristalino Foundation

The reserve is divided into geographical areas, each with its own specific function, such as tourism, conservation, research and monitoring, and is managed - through the Cristalino Foundation - by a team whose members have expertise in different areas, including biology, management and education.

The forest reserve where the hotel is located borders on the Cristalino State Park, a very important Amazon conservation area covering 184,900 hectares. That park, in turn, is connected to the Brazilian Air Force Reserve, which covers an area of 2.16 million hectares. Other reserves that also form part of this mosaic are: the Headwaters Biological Reserve, the Xingu Reserve, the Kayabi and Munduruku Indigenous Area, the Juruena National Park, the Rio Novo Park, the Jamanxim National Forest, the Crepori National Forest, the Apuí Mosaic, the Sucunduri Park, the Jatuarana National Forest and the Aripuanã Reserve.

At Cristalino Jungle Lodge are possible 3 types of visit:
- Nature Tours, incliding canoeing, trails, observation towers, boat trips.
